In early 2020, Kitsumkalum Indian Band purchased the Kasiks Wilderness Resort property.

Kitsumkalum is a tribe of the Tsimshian Nation. Our people have inhabited and cared for these lands and waters throughout the generations. We’re honoured to have the opportunity to showcase the very best in Tsimshian hospitality at such an exceptional property located right in our own backyard.

Since taking ownership, we have made several improvements to the facilities which include upgrades to the septic and water system, new floors, and brand new mattresses so our guests can rest comfortably. This is just the beginning of many postive changes to come. 

We aim to position ourselves as a distinctive property delivering authentic Indigenous cultural tourism experiences. We welcome visitors to our territory and to share in the journey with us as we embark on this exciting new venture.
